Re-Tired...again

I had a less than nice surprise Friday morning when Edward came in with a delivery and told me the back right tire on the van was flat...too flat to drive. Well that was just great news! First, I had to find somebody to put some air in it or change to the spare. Asked the Village first if they had a pump and of course they didn't. They offered to change to the spare but I hated to have them go to all that trouble. I called Firestone, a couple blocks up Reynolda, but they couldn't send any one out to fix it ...not allowed. So, called the Chevron station across the street from them and a nice little man came out with a compressor and puffed up the tire. He told me not to go far as the tire was so worn the steel was showing...how did it pass inspection in January? Next, called back to Firestone and got a quote on 2 tires ....same price as last year $200 but the alignment added $70 and then a headlight and back windshield wiper...note to self - do them yourself next time...brought the bill to $350!!! OUCH But, the car drives great, as is should after all that.
The rest of the week went fairly well. I have two orders working for rehearsal dinner invitations...will post one when finished as it is very pretty. Also, met with Sarah and I am fine tuning her modern, type stack design. Saturday a past customer came in with her pregnant daughter and ordered invitations for two baby showers. Christine's boyfriend picked up the book Friday and all of her grandfather's keepsakes. Hope she is happy as I have not heard from her....she should be, it came out so good. One year on that project but it was such an honor. One computer issue last week that is driving me a bit nuts. The streaming videos buffer so slow it's not worth watching anything. Finally decided it was something to do with Clear. I called and they are sending a new modem. Sure hope it cures the problem.
Spent the day today dusting and sweeping and doing laundry. Zoe should have gotten a bath but she lucked out til next week.
