Spent a quiet day today beginning with watching the 3 Sunday political shows. All of them were amusing because none of these experts knows what the hell is happening! Following that was lunch and then worked in the office all afternoon on a new customer Save the Date Luggage Tag.
Supper was a new dish that turned out pretty tasty. Chicken breasts topped with spinach and mozzarella with tomato sauce. Made enough for 2 dinners.
Doc Martin and Downton Abbey are tonight's entertainment.

I am alergic to wheat!
Back in the fall of 2015 I stopped eating any foods with wheat and I felt so good. My knees didn't hurt and I had so much energy. Well, then we got crazy busy with closing the store, packing and moving to our new home in Georgia. There wasn't enough time to grab meals that were wheat free and so I was back to no energy and my knees hurting worse than they ever had.
Monday morning, February 15, 2016 I started the 17 Day Diet that excludes sugars and starches...anything white from your diet. I did this about 3 years ago and lost 30 pounds in 17 days...truly amazing. Why did I not stick with it? Who knows...I just slipped back into cooking and eating all the good comfort foods. This week I was looking through the Web for new 17 Day recipe ideas when I stumbled across Wheat Belly. It describes what grains do to our bodies. As I read more it was describing me!
I have made up my mind to cut all grains out of my diet. Since Monday I have lost 5 pounds, I am satisfied not, hungry and not craving sweets. Today I walked through Aldi and Publix without my knees killing me. Last week when shopping at Publix I did not know if I could make it back to the car, every step was agony and I wanted to cry from the pain. I also think my brain is working better and instead of sitting comatose I have energy...it's so wonderful! Feeling so good after only one week, what will happen as time goes on? I will keep posting how it goes.

37 CALORIES BROWNIES
3/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt (I used vanilla)
1/4 cup skim milk
1/2 cup Cocoa powder
1/2 cup Old fashioned rolled oats (like Quaker)
1/2 cup Truvia (or any natural/stevia based sweetener that pours like sugar)
1 egg
1/3 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a square baking dish (I used 8"x8"). Combine all ingredients into a food processor or a blender, and blend until smooth (about 1 minute). Pour into the prepared dish and bake for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 9 large squares.

Ant Killer
simple: Use 1 empty water bottle (Cut it down to about 2" tall) Take a small amount of powdered sugar, and mix it with an equal amount of baking soda. Next stir in a bit of water to make a paste. Powdered sugar is essential. (You cannot use the larger grains of sugar for this.) Place small amounts of the mixture against the walls or other areas where you would not normally walk but where you would normally see the ants. The ants will be attracted to the sugar, and will eat some of it, and collect more to take home to feed others, so all of them will get their share. The sugar and baking soda powders are similar in size, and once mixed together, the ants cannot separate the two items. As they eat the sugar, they will also ingest the baking soda, which they would otherwise never touch. This is the reason for using powdered sugar. Once the ants eat the baking soda it will react with the formic acid, in their stomachs, and cause gas. The bodies of ants are unlike humans, and they cannot eliminate gas, so it will build up inside them, and cause them to literally explode. DON'T LOSE THIS!
